PROUD Namba

CONCEPT

Design supervision project for a compact condominium by Nomura Real Estate Development, located a 3-minute walk from Namba Station. The main target is working women in their 20s and 30s. The design proposal was based on the keywords of “clarity,” “elegance,” and “richness,” in reference to the image of a woman who lives in the bustling Namba area with its convenient transportation access and spends her days fulfilling both her work and private life. The exterior of the building was designed with a clear structure that emphasizes verticality by using slits, mullions, and other components to create a striking exterior design that does not blend in with the city. In the entrance hall, decorative tiles, glass, and hardware that create shadows were used to create a sense of elegant urban sparkle. The approach to the building is a buffer zone between the hustle and bustle of the city and the peaceful off-time, a lush and green space.
