BIZIA KOKURA

CONCEPT

A new construction project for an intelligent smart office building that will become a new symbol of Kokura, Kitakyushu City. As a leading project to realize the city’s SDGs Future City, the BIZIA KOKURA is the first of the “KOKURA KUROSAKI REVITATION” initiative, which aims to actively attract IT companies by promoting subsidized projects for private-sector construction investment. The first of these, BIZAI KOKURA aimed to promote environmentally friendly green smart buildings in Kitakyushu City by introducing 100% green electricity and acquiring the city’s first CASBEE Smart Wellness Office certification to achieve a decarbonized society. In addition to improving business efficiency by increasing the floor-area ratio through the use of the comprehensive design system and other measures, a 10-meter-high ceiling open space was created on the first floor to serve as a business crossing field where local office workers can gather and systematically interact, leading to an increase in the liveliness and vitality of the city.
