Aoyama Seisakusho Seki Plant

CONCEPT

This project involved the construction of a new plant for the manufacture of automotive fasteners (bolts and nuts). Aiming to create an ideal factory that embodies the company’s corporate philosophy, we provided a comprehensive proposal from planning to start-up of the new factory. The optimal development plan was established by comparing construction sites from the perspectives of logistics, employment, cost, and future potential. The company thoroughly streamlined the manufacturing process, including a one-way flow line. The layout of separate buildings by function and the adoption of a large-span structure ensured flexibility to increase production capacity in the future. The design is simple and progressive for a precision bolt manufacturing plant, with low costs achieved through the partial use of system architecture.
